An elderly pedestrian was taken to hospital with head injuries after being involved in a collision with a car.
The accident blocked the centre of Silsden while police investigated the incident, which happened in Kirkgate yesterday.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called to a serious road traffic collision at 12.21pm involving a vehicle and an elderly pedestrian who suffered head injuries and was taken to Airedale Hospital for treatment.”
The road had to be closed and traffic was diverted, the spokesman said.
