A former Bradford hairdresser is to go back to school as part of a campaign to avert what she describes as a potential timebomb.
Christine Sharp, from Riddlesden, Keighley, is a volunteer for the National Osteoporosis Society.
She has faced a long battle against the fragile-bone disease and in 2009 it forced her to give up her job – running a salon in Haworth Road, Bradford.
Now she has been invited by Bradford District Care Trust to tell teenagers how they can avoid the illness.
She will speak to Carlton Bolling students next month and possibly more schools in future.
