A 58-year-old Keighley man who was working as a sub-contractor at a South Yorkshire store has died following an incident at the premises.
Emergency services were called to the Iceland supermarket in Sycamore Road, Rotherham, just after noon on Monday.
The man – who has not been named – was taken to Rotherham Hospital, where he died.
It is believed he had been carrying out work in a storage area of the premises.
Rotherham Council environmental health team is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
South Yorkshire Police said they had been alerted initially but were no longer involved in the inquiry.
A spokesman for the coroner’s office said an inquest would be held into the man’s death, but no date had yet been fixed for the opening.
