A week-long celebration of all things scientific will begin in Otley this weekend.
Highlights of the 2013 Otley Science Festival will feature a presentation by BBC wildlife expert Mike Dilger, a Bonfire Night special “science cafe” focusing on fireworks and a fun-filled comedy science show – plus the history of electricity and the custard-powder flame-thrower.
Otley scientist and TV presenter Marty Jopson, who organises the festival, said: “We have a fabulous week lined up.”
He promises “a hair-raising performance” at 7.30pm on Monday when he presents Zap, Crackle and Pop. The festival runs from Sunday to Saturday.
