Detectives have charged a man with murder following the death of acid attack victim Barry Selby.
Lee Calvert, 22, is due to appear at Bradford Crown Court tomorrow.
Calvert, of Stirling Crescent, Holme Wood, Bradford, has already appeared before magistrates on a charge of attempting to murder Mr Selby, and a separate allegation of robbery.
Mr Selby was shot in the leg and suffered 50 per cent acid burns to his body when he was attacked in the bedroom of his home in Rayleigh Street, East Bowling, Bradford, in the early hours of Monday, October 14.
He died in hospital several days later.
Three intruders were alleged to have been involved.
Calvert was produced before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court today and his case was sent to the crown court.
He is due to appear before a judge tomorrow with two co-accused, who have been charged in relation to a connected shooting incident.
Joseph Lowther, 41, of Copgrove Road, Holme Wood, and Robert Woodhead, 28, of Fred’s Place, Tyersal, Bradford, are accused of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
The charges relate to an incident in Farway, Holme Wood, on the evening of Sunday, October 13, when damage was caused to a house.
