Skipton mayor John Kerwin-Davey is to host a nostalgic Remembrance lunch at the town’s Rendezvous Hotel on Sunday, November 17.
“Lest We Forget” will recreate the spirit of the wartime years, with a themed meal in a dining room decorated with memorabilia.
Guests will be invited to wear clothes reflecting the period, with a prize for the most imaginative.
There will be entertainment with 1940s dancers and singers.
The event starts at 2pm and proceeds will be divided between the Mayor’s charity and Skipton’s Royal British Legion.
Tickets cost £25 for adults or £12.50 for children, with discounts for RBL members. To book, contact (01756) 700100 or e-mail lindsaymueller@ rendezvous-skipton.com.
