Knitted poppies have proved popular with people supporting the Royal British Legion.
Saltaire Co-op and Co-op Funeralcare provided materials for residents of Falkland Court, Bingley, to knit 101 poppies, which were sold at a coffee afternoon at the home and by the Co-op.
Gill Harney, of Co-op funeralcare, said: “The residents of Falkland Court worked around the clock producing the knitted poppies and they looked fantastic.”
The Poppy Appeal, organised by the Royal British Legion, is led by Collin MacDonald. He said: “We are truly grateful to the Co-op team for their hard work and generosity with supplying the materials and beverages.”
The knitted poppies raised £280.90 for the Poppy Appeal.
