A 21-year-old man has been warned he could face a jail sentence for stealing lead from a church and school.
Daniel Patchett, of Bracken Road, Keighley, pleaded guilty to two offences of theft at Bradford Crown Court today.
He admitted stealing lead from Eastburn Methodist Church at Eastburn, near Keighley, between September 1 and 8, and stealing lead from Steeton Primary School on October 13.
His case was adjourned until November 22 for the preparation of a probation service report.
Patchett, who is on bail with an electronically monitored curfew, was warned by the Recorder of Bradford, Judge Roger Thomas QC, that people who stole lead from buildings were likely to be locked up.
