One-way systems and no-parking zones were among the possible solutions raised to address parking problems in Haworth Main Street.
They were put forward at a meeting in the village, held at West Lane Baptist Church to give people a say on how parking in Main Street should be regulated.
The road has been without double yellow lines since its setts were relayed, and councillors have warned that this has led to some motorists obstructing the road with their vehicles.
Ward officer Noreen Akhtar, of Keighley Area Co-ordinator’s office, chaired the meeting.
She said: “We had a good representation from residents, traders and others who have an interest in Main Street such as parish and ward councillors.”
Mrs Akhtar stressed that the public meeting was only the first stage in the process. She will be taking suggestions to highways officers.
