The distinctive design of a new school in Bradford has earned it a top award in the prestigious Civic Building of the Year 2013 competition.
But the judges are keeping secret the exact nature of the award to be presented to the Appleton Academy until all is revealed at the annual Scala President’s Dinner and Civic Building of the Year Award 2013 on Friday, November 8.
The school in Wyke opened in September 2012 as a through-age academy for 1,400 pupils and replaced the former Wyke Manor School and High Fernley Primary School.
