A 60-year-old who was almost twice over the drink-drive limit when he was stopped by police in Cononley, near Keighley, was today banned from driving for 18 months.
Stephen Ingham was stopped in his car at Cross Hills Road at 4pm on October 2, Skipton magistrates heard today.
He gave a positive roadside breath test and was taken to the police station where he was found to have 67 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
Ingham, of Crag View, Cononley, was banned for 18 months and fined £330 with costs of £85 and victims surcharge of £33.
