Pudsey Bear made an early Children in Need visit to Bradford.
The mascot is touring the country, visiting 50 cathedrals in a week, with the Topline performing arts company.
The Redcar-based group hopes to raise £10,000 for the annual fundraiser and started its journey yesterday with seven cathedral visits planned, including Newcastle, Durham and Ripon.
Beth Fountain, of Topline, said the fundraiser was led be Chris Nixon who will be playing the organ in each cathedral.
She said: “We’re spending about half an hour in each place and already have been getting loads of donations in our pots.
“Chris had talked about doing organ recitals around the country and wanted to do something for Children in need, so we put the two together.”
During the week-long tour around 2,000 children will sing alongside the recitals.
Children in Need day is on Friday, November 15.
