The director of an Oxenhope-based charity has been honoured in the Women of the Year awards.
Arianna Walker, of Mercy Ministries UK, was among about 300 inspirational women invited to a special celebration lunch in London.
They were joined at the event, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Park Lane, by celebrities including Lorraine Kelly and Ruby Wax.
Mrs Walker, who lives at Baildon, was presented with a certificate and goody bag.
“It was such an honour to be there and it was a really enjoyable experience,” she said.
“When you go to something like this and see how many women are doing similar things the jigsaw comes together and you start to see the bigger picture.”
Mercy Ministries UK is dedicated to providing a six-month, free-of-charge residential programme for young women, aged 18 to 28, suffering from life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, depression and abuse.
