Skipton MP Julian Smith is encouraging charities and community groups to get involved with the Grow Your Tenner campaign.
The scheme, run by the Government’s Office for Civil Society through the localgiving.com website, will double all one-off donations up to £10, so a tenner becomes £20, and, on monthly donations, it will double up to £10 a month for six months.
Mr Smith said: “Half a million pounds is being invested in this campaign to support small charities and community groups.
"It will provide a boost for the work done by these groups in our communities in Skipton and Ripon so I would encourage organisations to get involved.”
