A residents’ group is objecting to new waiting restrictions in Keighley, which Bradford Council says are needed for road safety.
Keighley Area Committee will meet on Tuesday to discuss plans for the restrictions to ease traffic around North Dean Avenue.
A report prepared for the meeting says the Keighley Area team was approached about the traffic order in September 2011 as part of a new housing development.
It says the changes, which would be paid for by the developers, are needed to “ease access and exit to the new development from North Dean Avenue.”
But the objection, from the unnamed group, claims that residents were guaranteed that no yellow lines would ever be placed on North Dean Avenue.
Council officers recommend the objection be overruled when the area committee meets on Tuesday at Keighley Town Hall.
