FUN DAY: Woodside Children's Centre is having a Halloween and safety event fun day on Thursday, 11am to 2pm.

BEER: Bradford Park Avenue is running its second annual beer festival at its clubhouse in Horsfall Stadium. Twenty real ales and six ciders will be available from Friday, November 1, to Monday, November 4. Entry is free, although normal admission charges will apply for the Avenue matches on the Saturday afternoon and Monday night.

YOUTH CLUBS: The Sandale Centre has some extra half term youth clubs next week. Monday, 1pm to 3pm and 4pm to 7pm, is for ages six to 13. And Tuesday, noon to 2pm, is for ages ten to 13.

EXERCISE: A new gentle exercise class for all ages started this week at Woodside Village Centre. Called Extend, it runs on Wednesdays, 2.30pm to 3.30pm. Call Teresa McDonald on 07949 406007.

PARTIES: There are Halloween parties for children aged six to 13 on Thursday at the Bedale Centre in Buttershaw from noon to 2pm and the Sandale Centre in Woodside from 4pm to 7pm.
