Bradford Catholic Players are searching for a motorcycle and sidecar reminiscent of a Second World War model for their show, The Producers.
“If it was green or camouflaged, all the better, but we'd consider anything,” says Anne-Marie Carroll of the Players.” We have been in contact with the Vintage Motorcycle Club but we haven’t had any offers so far.” Anyone who can help is asked to contact Nicholas Carroll on (01422) 370330 or Mobile 0770 9414011.
Rehearsals for The Producers have involved an extra prop for one cast member. Susan Carroll is dancing with a zimmer frame, after slipping off the edge of a pavement and breaking a bone in her foot. With her foot in a pot, she is unable to dance unaided but hopes to be recovered in time for the show next month.
"I couldn’t believe it. All I could think was our choreographer Jacqui Drake wouldn't be best pleased!" smiles Susan.
The comedy musical follows unsuccessful Broadway producer, Max Bialystock, and accountant Leo Bloom on their quest to con backers of a musical. They set out to put on a flop – but end up with a hit.
The Producers runs at the Alhambra from November 20 - 23. For tickets ring (01274) 432000.
