A church elder who led a project to restore an historic listed church missed out on a top award from English Heritage.
Len Morris, who worked with other elders and volunteers to restore Saltaire URC, made it to the final of a nationwide competition which recognised the hard work and effort of people preserving history across the country.
A group from the church travelled to London for the English Heritage Angel Awards founded by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Organisers said there was a “strong field” of 17 finalists.
