Magistrates have issued an arrest warrant after a man accused of selling illegally copied DVDs failed to turn up at court yesterday.
Adrees Malik, of Bude Road, West Bowling, Bradford, was due before Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court.
The 45-year-old faces 29 charges relating to selling, hiring or possessing items which infringed copyright, using materials with a false trademark and having equipment for reproducing copyright work.
He is accused of having illegal copies of films which were sold or hired from a business called Homeview DVD.
When he failed to show at court, prosecutor Harjit Ryatt was granted an application for a warrant without bail.
