A mobility vehicle driver involved in a road-rage incident with a motorcyclist near Keighley has been handed a six-month curfew.

Ryan Gunnigle, 34, followed Adrian Green from Glusburn to his home in Cowling on May 22 following an incident on the road, Skipton magistrates heard.

He caught up with Mr Green, a Craven councillor, outside his home on Colne Road, where he pushed him off his bike before punching and kicking him.

Gunnigle admitted assault by beating at an earlier hearing, just before he was due to stand trial following his original not guilty plea.

Magistrates handed Gunnigle, of Greenall Street, Ashton-in-Makerfield, a six-month community order with a directional activity requirement. He was told he would also be tagged for a three- month curfew from 7am to 7pm. He must pay £620 costs and £100 to Mr Green.
