A £1 million project to refurbish three Council-owned outward bound centres in the Yorkshire Dales is progressing, a new report shows.
The Council cash, allocated by the Schools Forum, is to be spent on Buckden House, Ingleborough Hall and Nell Bank outdoor learning centres.
At Ingleborough Hall, a planning application has been submitted to the National Parks planning committee, and a decision should be made in January next year.
At Buckden House, plans have also been produced and survey work has been undertaken.
Any money left over from the two refurbishment plans will be ploughed into work at Nell Bank, which has already been allocated £400,000 of the cash.
The plan for Nell Bank is more ambitious and involves an element of demolition and re-building, a report to Bradford Council’s Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee reveals.
