The holder of a £10 million winning Lottery ticket that was bought in Bradford came forward to claim the prize today.
But the identity of Britain’s newest multi-millionaire remains a mystery tonight.
The numbers – 5, 15, 17, 19, 20 and 47 – were drawn on October 5 and Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, which operates the National Lottery, started an appeal to find the ticket holder last Friday.
After the prize was claimed, a National Lottery spokeman said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.
“It would have been awful if the ticket-holder had missed out on this substantial and life-changing amount of money. We would like to remind all National Lottery players to check their tickets every time they play.”
The spokesman added that it was not yet known whether the winner wanted to be identified.
