Councillors spent two hours discussing changes to a pub’s licence.
The chairman of Bradford District Licensing Panel, Councillor John Ruding, said the lengthy discussions were unusual for the minor amendments, but letters of objection and support needed to be carefully considered.
The application for an extended licence to cover an outdoor bar area at the Glen Hotel, Gilstead, was approved, as were changes allowing under-18s to stay in the pub until 10pm, rather than 8pm.
Coun Ruding said making any licensing decision was a balancing act.
The changes take effect immediately, but a planning application is still awaiting approval to convert outside toilets into a bar area, with a decision expected by the end of the month.
