The first year of a two-year stay of execution for Haworth Fire Station is coming to an end.
Councillor John Huxley, chairman of Haworth, Cross Roads and Stanbury Parish Council, said progress had been made to retain some form of community service at the facility.
But he said there was still uncertainty over how this would be funded.
The station was earmarked for closure as part of a package of cuts announced in response to reductions in government funding. But following a campaign to keep it open, the decision was deferred for two years.
In May, an outline concept was announced for the building which suggested it could host community safety services and activities for young people.
Coun Huxley said he was due to have another meeting with Fire and Rescue Service and Council representatives later this month.
