Detectives investigating an attack in which a man suffered life threatening injuries in Bradford have made an arrest in connection with the ongoing enquiries.
A 23-year-old Bradford man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder yesterday evening in connection with the incident in Rayleigh Street, Bradford in which a man suffered serious leg injures and also burns from a corrosive substance.
He is now being held in custody for questioning as detectives continue to investigate the assault which is now being treated as attempted murder.
The victim, a 50- year-old man, was described this morning as being in an extremely serious condition in hospital today following the offence which police believe was targeted.
Further medical examinations have revealed he suffered a gun shot wound to one of his legs in the incident which took place at about 2.11am on Monday October 14.
