Volunteers have been digging deep to help a community clear-up.
Workers from Associated Waste Management, based on Canal Road, Shipley, spent yesterday dodging the rain with others to tidy an allotment off Crag Road in Windhill.
The Crag Community Regeneration Project was established about 12 months ago to work on health and wellbeing issues in the area.
AWM group marketing manager Mike Robinson said: “Many residents live in flats and bedsits without gardens and approached their landlord Incommunities with a view to restoring the land between Annie Street and Stubbing Way into a community allotment. This allotment has become extremely overgrown and neglected since the previous users left about three years ago.
“In partnership with HALE Project, Incommunities, Bradford Council and AWM a team of workers have started clearing the site and welcome any local residents who wish to come along to join us every Monday morning from 10am to 1pm.”
