Officers at Bradford Royal Infirmary have handed out a Red Letter to a man for Anti-Social Behaviour.
He must not: verbally abuse staff, make inappropriate sexual comments, use foul language (swearing), urinate in sinks, or smoke in A&E.
Police said that the man can still attend the A&E department for treatment, but if his bad behaviour continues then he may be refused treatment and further amti-social behaviour legislation may be used to ban him from the hospital.
A spokesman said: “Staff in hospitals should not be expected to deal with abusive patients. “Although they made need treatment, anyone who abuses hospital staff is at risk of having treatment refused.”
