Two-car crash causes serious delays on M62 motorway
A crash on the M1 has caused congestion right back to junction 26 of the M62 near Bradford.
The two-car collision has led to the closure of the northbound M1 at Lofthouse, near the point where it crosses the M62.
The incident has had a serious knock-on effect across West Yorkshire’s motorway network.
The Highways Agency said traffic was heavier than normal on M62 eastbound between J26 at Chain Bar and junction 29 at Lofthouse.
Travel time through that section is about 60 minutes due to the closure of the M1 northbound.
