A special service aimed at boosting Bingley’s economy through the power of prayer takes place at All Saints Parish Church tomorrow.
Bishop of Bradford Nick Baines and Shipley MP Philip Davies are to take part in the service organised by All Saints vicar the Reverend Beverley Mason who fears the town is at risk from financial “death and decay.”
She took over the Main Street church last year and is keen to inspire a new spirit of optimism and involvement in the town.
The Reverend Andrew Clarke, of Holy Trinity with St Wilfrid, will also take part in the service entitled Catching The Vision, the Rev Mason said yesterday.
“Philip Davies will be giving one of the readings and the Bishop will be making a short address and blessing, which is wonderful,” she said.
The Catching The Vision service is at All Saints Parish Church on Sunday, October 13, from 6pm.
