Cullingworth Conservative Club will get a makeover after plans to expand the building were approved by Bradford Council.

The club, which is based on Station Road and dates back to the 18th century, wants to build a new entrance foyer, orangery, patio and external staircase.

The existing entrance foyer, which the club described as “riddled with damp”, will be demolished.

Planning officers agreed that the extensions would bring “significant improvements” to the building and would not cause any problems for neighbours.
