A celebration event is underway in City Park, with green ribbons acting as the symbol of peace.
Banner group Bradford Together, consisting of groups including HOPE not Hate, Bradford Women for Peace, Bradford TUC, the Muslim Women's Council, Bradford Council for Mosques, Unison, Yorkshire and the Humber TUC, and other groups and individuals, are at the event.
The event runs until 4pm, led by Bradford Women for Peace, who are spreading green ribbons around the city.
From 4pm to 5.45pm a giant peace wall with thousands of peace postcards left by Bradfordians will be unveiled, with silent prayers led by the Interfaith Prayers for Peace group between 5.45pm and 6pm.
Bradford Together spokesman Paul Meszaros said: "We will continue the theme of peace, unity and solidarity in the lead-up to the EDL demonstration by spreading the message of hope and peace in the city centre."
