A building society celebrated opening a new branch by donating £500 to charity.

The Yeadon Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) branch was officially opened by YBS Yorkshire’s Chief Executive Chris Pilling and Greg Mulholland, MP for Leeds North West.

Before the doors had even opened, local residents were invited to nominate a charity they would like to receive a £100 donation as part of the Society’s Make a Difference Week campaign. Yeadon Charities Association, Yorkshire Air Ambulance,AVSED, Safe Haven and Martin House Hospice all received £100.
