A care centre has been opened in memory of a dedicated carer.
The Zoe Johnson Day Care Centre, at Duchess Gardens, in Bingley, is named after Miss Johnson (pictured), from Bierley, who worked for the Elderhomes Group.
The 23-year-old contracted pneumonia and a rare virus which led to her death earlier this year.
Director of Elderhomes Alison Messenger said: “Zoe was an exceptional key member of our staff who practiced dedicated care and brought fun and laughter into the lives of our residents at our home.
“Zoe is sadly missed by all of her work colleagues, residents, family and friends. It is a great honour to name the day care centre after Zoe and we feel her fun-loving spirit will be practiced and felt everyday in this fabulous new facility. I am sure Zoe would have approved.”
The centre has a Skype station and a My Life Book course where people record memories.
