Detectives are probing the unexplained deaths of two women in Bradford, police revealed today.
The women, aged 38 and 51, were found at separate addresses in the Lower Grange area of the city.
The victims, who were not related but were known to each other, were both pronounced dead at the scenes when police and paramedics attended on Sunday.
Post-mortem examinations have taken place but have proved inconclusive and further toxicology tests will take place, said a police spokesman.
Extensive searches have been carried out at both addesses since the women’s bodies were discovered on Sunday afternoon.
Police have also been carrying out reassurance patrols in the area.
Two men, aged 31 and 45, have been arrested in connection with the investigation and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Police have urged anyone with information which could help the inquiry to contact them on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
