We did not ask business or the public to nominate in this one, as the winner of winners is selected from the top-placed nominations of the other ten awards.
Judges were looking for the best overall contribution to business in the district.
The panel also considered who ticks all the boxes when it comes to performance, growth, staff and customer care and general contribution to the business landscape of the Bradford dis-trict.
This category really is up for grabs by any business entered in the previous categories, and will be awarded to the firm, individual or project the panel decides embodies the ethos of the Bradford Means Business Awards.
Last year’s winner in this category was Mark Robinson, 22, who scooped Young Entrepreneur of the Year and was declared Winner of Winners for setting up web-design firm Digital Green. He said: “When I first set up I was operating out of my mum and gran’s house with three full-time staff. It’s unbelievable. I can’t believe I’ve won.”
A self-styled “natural computer geek with an ambition and drive to succeed”, Mark’s firm, which was in its first year of trading when he won, built a client base of more than 1,000 including Ford, Estee Lauder, Asda, NHS and Just-eat.co.uk.
