Care homes in Bradford, Bingley and Shipley are hosting fun events to mark the inaugural National Care Home Open Day on Friday, June 21.
The day, a joint initiative by all of the UK’s leading care providers, aims to highlight the positive sides of life in care homes.
Bupa’s Knowles Court Residential and Nursing Home in Bradford is inviting the community along from 10.30am to look around, chat with residents and staff and take part in some of the residents’ favourite activities.
During the day there will be pampering sessions, a general knowledge quiz, skittles and hoopla, wartime musical entertainment and a karaoke sing-a-long later.
The day will also be suitable for those considering a career in the sector.
