Mums in Keighley are benefiting from a bundle of books and goodies to help them with breastfeeding.
The Keighley Breastfeeding Buddies service, run by Keighley Healthy Living, has been given the books, which include tips and advice on breastfeeding and parenting, knitted breasts and demonstration dolls, by the charity MedEquip4Kids.
The group has also given several educational books aimed at young parents and dads.
Julie Thomas, Breastfeed-ing Buddies co-ordinator, said: “The resources are a huge boost to our service and parents who come to our support group can borrow them for free.
“They will really help us to promote our service and help us to demonstrate effective breastfeeding.”
The Breastfeeding Buddies are trained volunteers who are available to support women in a variety of settings, including children’s centres, community centres and at home.
They also run a free drop-in support group at Keighley Healthy Living, in Scott Street, Keighley, on Tuesdays from 10am to noon.
