A gruelling fundraising challenge planned in tribute to three soldiers killed by a roadside bomb was postponed.
Former Oakworth man Simon Wright, a lieutenant serving in Afghanistan, was due to tackle the 22km route with 11 colleagues last Sunday.
But in a posting on his Just Giving website, Lt Wright - commander of 8 Platoon, Charlie Company, 2 SCOTS - said they had been moved to another location within the country and were unable to reach the scheduled venue for the event.
The challenge, which will involve them completing an energy-sapping course wearing full combat gear and carrying heavy packs, is now due to take place in August.
