This year’s Ilkley Carnival has paid out more than £12,000 to good causes, including £6,000 to Ilkley and District Good Neighbours.
Last month’s carnival, which sold 8,000 tickets created one of the largest windfalls yet given out to a single organisation.
The Good Neighbours were nominated as 50 per cent beneficiary.
Chairman of Ilkley and District Good Neighbours, John Jewitt, said the £6,000 donation would make a “significant difference” to local people’s lives.
The annual carnival experienced one of its most successful days yet as the sun shone on the “British History” themed event.
