Wilsden’s Village Hall Beer Festival took place at the weekend with the theme of War of the Roses.
The third beer festival had 16 beers from Yorkshire and Lancashire.
Alongside the beer sourced and supplied by Haworth Steam Brewery, a selection of cider, wine and soft drinks were on offer.
Evening entertainment and live music was provided once again by the Beer House Boys.
The festival was busier than previous years because of the sunshine which brought out the crowds.
Roger Golton, one of the beer festival organisers, said that Yorkshire beer Wold Gold, by Wold Top Brewery, came first for best beer, while Bad to the Bone, a Lancashire beer by Bank Top Brewery, came second, and Hurricane, from Haworth Steam Brewery, was placed third.
“Hundreds of people turned up and we sold out of beer by 9.30pm,” he said. “We served 1,200 pints of beer and that is a lot in one day. We will be here next year again on the first Saturday in June.”
