Sun seekers were out in force over the weekend enjoying a host of family entertainment across the district.
The fun began early in Centenary Square on Saturday with crowds gathering in their thousands throughout the day to bask in the sun and celebrate the eighth Bradford Pride event.
The annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) culture is thought to have attracted its biggest audience to date.
Last year the event drew a crowd of about 10,000 people.
A host of market stalls selling a variety of items including printed T-shirts and charity tents were on offer.
Mysti Valentine warmed up the crowd and hosted the event on stage.
Entertainment was kicked off by three-piece girl band Harmonee who sang covers of feel good classics including Atomic Kitten’s Whole Again and Kings of Leon’s Sex on Fire.
Shockolady, who toured with Steps on their reunion tour last year, pleased the crowds and topping the bill was Britain’s Get Talent semi-finalists The Showbears who performed near the end of the day.
Raffle tickets and wrist bands were sold throughout the day to help pay for next year’s event.
The event, which is organised by volunteers as a community event, is funded through donations and fundraising.
Ann Morgan, chairman of Bradford Pride, said: “It is fabulous to see people enjoying the event. We have been lucky with the weather again this year. A lot of hard work has gone into making it happen by volunteers.”
“It now feels that Pride is an integral part of the Bradford calendar.”
Aimee McKenzie, 23, Wibsey, who attended the event for the first time this year with a group of friends said: “This is a fantastic event. You can see everyone is enjoying themselves and joining in which created a great atmosphere.”
