Ashlands Primary School in Ilkley has taken over its school kitchens from Bradford Council Provider, Education Catering Services.
Children have seen a change in menus which now feature exciting new choices, all home-made using fresh local ingredients.
Catering manager, Mark Bywater leads a kitchen team of five, managing the new operation and has been supported during the changeover by catering consultant Helen Guy.
Head teacher Andrew Soutar said children’s learning ability can be boosted by healthy food.
