A college teaching hairdressing courses is aiming to be a cut above the rest after joining forces with a salon.
Yeadon-based Yorkshire College of Beauty is working alongside Yazz Number One Hair Studio in Rawdon to open a new academy.
The Yazz Academy’s NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing course will give students the chance to become fully qualified hairdressers.
The first set of students have just been enrolled and other would-be students are invited to get in touch. A spokesman for the Academy said: “Students will learn at an industry accredited salon that provides a passport to jobs worldwide.”
The academy will also offer one-day to four-day awards in advanced cutting, colouring and bridal hair, which are also suitable for stylists already working within the industry.
