Staff from Yorkshire Building Society cycled between its 12 branches in the Bradford area and raised more than £5,000 for charity.
The 70-mile challenge was completed in one day and smashed the original fundraising target of £4,000 thanks to generous customers and members of the public.
The cash, boosted by in-branch raffles, is being donated to the building society’s charity of the year, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Jeremy Lucas, manager of the building society’s Shipley branch, organised the cycle challenge.
He said: “We are so grateful for all those who made a donation or bought a raffle ticket and helped us smash our target.”
Bradford-based charity Crank It Up provided the bikes for the challenge and was also on hand throughout the day to provide spare bikes. They stepped in when one of the riders broke the chain on their bike and needed a quick replacement.
