A Fairtrade orchard will take root in Keighley.
Four trees created in recycling workshops, together with various creatures, will be displayed as part of an event in the Airedale Shopping Centre on Wednesday, June 26. The workshops – at Eastwood, Oakworth, Hothfield and Holycroft schools – were led by community interest company fairandfunky, which is working with Fairtrade Keighley on the orchard initiative.
“This project will connect schools and businesses to Fairtrade,” said Richard Dillon (pictured), chairman of the Fairtrade Keighley steering group.
