A ‘hare-raising’ £1,000 was raised from a Hare and Hound Challenge along 23-miles of the Leeds-Liverpool towpath.
The money will go to the Pudsey Live At Home scheme and was raised by Pudsey Legal’s first major fundraising initiative.
First off the starting blocks was the ‘hare’ – keen marathon runner Paul Kaye, who was hotly pursued by nine ‘hounds’ and their support crew who work at Pudsey Legal’s offices.
Pudsey Live at Home helps older people stay independent in their own homes. It organises social activities and groups such as Tai Chi exercise classes, a walking club and computer group to help people keep both mind and body fit and active.
Nigel Beck, Pudsey Legal director, said: “This event was a huge success, not only because it raised a fantastic amount of money, but because it was great for team morale, and also huge amounts of fun!”
