A teenage “three strikes” burglar has been locked up for two years and five months.
Textile worker, Robert Wainwright, 19, pleaded guilty to burgling a house in Bartle Lane, Great Horton, Bradford, on April 15.
Bradford Crown Court heard yesterday he was one of three men seen by a neighbour running away from the property. It was searched but nothing was taken.
Wainwright, of Gas House Yard, Oakenshaw, Bradford, was caught after leaving his fingerprint on the rear door smashed open by the gang.
The court was told that he had family responsibilities and bitterly regretted taking part in the burglary.
The judge, Recorder Richard Woolfall, told Wainwright he was young enough to turn his life around.
