One lane of the A650 Shipley Airedale Road will be closed tomorrow morning while work is carried out on nearby trees.
A 200-metre section of the southbound carriageway will shut at 7am and re-open four or five hours later after damaged branches have been removed from trees on an embankment.
The affected lane is on the approach to the junction with Barkerend Road. Drivers will still be able to use the two other southbound lanes. Traffic will return to three lanes before the junction.
Bradford social housing group Incommunities is behind the work. A spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, but the temporary lane closure will enable the safe removal of tree branches and safety is our main priority. We expect the work to be completed by lunchtime when the nearside lane will reopen.”
