Plans for a self-sufficient farm in Riddlesden will have to go back to the drawing board after Bradford Council deemed them “inappropriate”.
Peter Foxon applied to replace a holiday chalet on Banks Lane with a transportable log cabin, as well as building a barn, wind turbine, solar panels and new access track.
His application said the farm would be self-sufficient and produce eggs, pork and lamb for sale.
But in her refusal planning officer Alison French said: “The proposed log cabin should be resisted to protect the openness of the green belt.”
