A young air cadet is celebrating after earning his stripes.

Connor Petty (pictured), a Year 9 pupil at Guiseley School, has been promoted to Cadet Corporal in the Air Training Corps. Connor, who is a member of the Shipley and Baildon Squadron, was presented with his stripes at a recent squadron parade night by the Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Eileen Dibb. Dr Peter Isherwood, the squadron’s media communications officer, added: “Cadet Corporal Petty has shown eagerness and commitment since he joined the squadron. He fully deserves his promotion.”
